The space

A top-floor apartment built around one extraordinary view.

The Nest is all light and glass — floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the estuary from almost every room, and two terraces that catch the sun from morning coffee to evening wine.

Inside it's calm and considered: an open kitchen with seaside touches, a deep velvet sofa angled at the water, and two quiet bedrooms with the kind of beds you don't want to leave. It sleeps four without ever feeling full.

It sits two minutes above the town — close enough to walk to dinner, with a view to look out over all day, every day.

Two terraces, all-day sun

One faces the morning light over the water, the other catches the last of the evening. Outdoor seating, a small table, and a view that does most of the work.

The terrace

A kitchen you'll actually cook in

Full-size everything, rich blue tiles with sleek cabinets, and an adjacent window that looks straight over the estuary. Bring the catch back from the harbour and make a night of it.

"We booked direct after finding the apartment elsewhere — saved a fair bit and dealt with Cat directlythe whole way. The view genuinely stops you in your tracks. We're already booked for next summer."

I'm Cat — and I look after The Nest myself.

I've owned the apartment for six years and I still get a thrill every time I walk in and see that view. I handle every booking and every guest personally to ensure you are taken care of.

Booking direct means you reach me and you get a fairer price because I'm not being charged site fees. However, if you'd rather book through Airbnb for peace of mind, that's there too — whatever makes your trip feel easy and safe.

Two ways to book.

Book direct for the best price and a real person on the other end — or use Airbnb if you'd simply feel more comfortable there. Same apartment, same dates, your choice.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

Is booking direct as safe as Airbnb?

Yes. Payment is handled by Stripe — the same secure processor behind countless online businesses such as Uber — so your card details are encrypted and never seen by us. You get instant written confirmation and a booking reference. And if you'd still rather use Airbnb, that option is right there in the booking section.

Why is it cheaper to book direct?

Platforms add a guest service fee on top of the nightly rate at checkout. Booking direct skips that fee, so the same dates come out lower — and more of what you pay goes to keeping the apartment immaculate.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check in from 4pm, check out by 10am. There's a key safe, so you can arrive whenever suits — I'll send the code the day before along with directions and parking.

Is there parking?

Yes, one allocated space comes with the apartment — a real luxury in Newquay in summer. There's room to drop bags right by the entrance too.
